OPEN STUDIO--For Independent Study
This studio series provides a flexible schedule for independent artistic exploration. Learn at your own pace in a friendly, creative atmosphere with helpful suggestions and teaching demonstrations available upon request. You can join at any time since the class series never ends and if you miss a class--no problem, simply come at another time.
CLAY -- Wednesday 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and / or Wednesday evenings from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Class Dates are: April 4, 18, 25 May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 June 6, 20
No experience required.
Basic materials and equipment are provided and firing fees are included.

GLASS FUSING - Garden Stakes

Create a striking garden stake design in glass. You will learn how to design, cut, nip and join together glass elements to make a one-of-a-kind glass design that will be kiln-fired and available the following week.

CLAYWORKS FOR KIDS
Saturday, April 28
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Instructor—Nobel Schuler
Cost: $35
Students will create a variety of art forms using basic clay methods and tools. Techniques such as pinch, coil, slab and the potters wheel will be introduced. The art creations will dry and be kiln fired the following week. Students can return to glaze their work on Saturday, May 12th during "Raku Glow" - a full day of Glazing & Blazing.

MAY KIDS - After School Program

Students will explore a variety of art methods including drawing, painting, printmaking, and clay designs.

RAKU GLOW-- A Full Day of Glazing & Blazing
Saturday, May 12 & June 16
This special day is usually for artists who have previously visited the studio and would like to glaze and fire their unfinished work and for those who wish to experience Raku for the first time. The kilns will be fired throughout the day beginning at 10:00 AM and conclude at 4:00 PM. You will need to select one of the firing cycles below and call to be placed on the schedule (517)-629-8293 and then join the fun and festivities during your preferred time.
Firing Schedule: 10:00 AM 12:00 PM 2:00 PM 4:00 PM
Returning Artists--Glazing their own pottery
Glazing / Firing fee--$10 & up (depending on the size)
First Timers are welcomed.
You choose a piece of Schuler Arts pottery and glaze it for firing. Cost is $20 & up. (depending on the size)

WHIMSICAL CLAY FORMS - Bird Houses and Fairy Dwellings

Cost: $45
Creat a unique bird house or creative fairy dewelling for your garden or home using a variety of clay tools and methods. Your art creation will dry and be kiln fired the following week. You can glaze your piece during one of the Wednesday "Open Studio" sessions or join us Saturday, June 16 for "Raku Glow" - a full day of Glazing & Blazing.
